About Edinburgh Airport

Opened in 1977, Edinburgh Airport is located just to the west of Scotland's capital city and is within easy access to the country's main road network.
Edinburgh airport offers many direct continental and limited transatlantic flights. Sixteen top domestic Airports are served including Dublin, Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam.

Edinburgh is also a centre of national services to London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle, Jersey and Northern Ireland. BA ‘Supershuttles’ operate an almost hourly service between London (Heathrow) and Edinburgh. Most of Scotland is also served from Edinburgh by an internal Network including Aberdeen, Inverness, Wick & Cambletown, Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland.

Edinburgh airport is situated eight miles west of the city centre. Road access to the airport is via the A8 Edinburgh/Glasgow road.

The airports 300+ staff are well trained to deal with any problem you may have. The Information Desk is prominently situated within the terminal and is happy to deal with any queries

INFORMATION AND HELP DESKS:
The combined airport information and Edinburgh Tourist Board desk is located adjacent to International Arrivals.
AIRPORT FACILITIES:
Money and communications: The airport has a bureau de change and ATMs on the first floor of the departures area, and a further bureau de change in International Arrivals on the ground floor. Eating and drinking: There are bars and restaurants available. Shopping: Shops include duty free. Edinburgh airport parking is also available on the airport compound.
DISABLED FACILITIES:
Facilities for disabled people include accessible toilets, ramps, lifts and a pick-up point near the information desk in the Arrivals hall; passengers should advise their airline of their special needs in advance. There are reserved spaces for drivers with disability ID in the airport's short-term car park.
CONFERENCE AND BUSINESS FACILITIES:
British Airways, British Midland and Servisair all have executive lounges with telephone, fax and computer log-on facilities; the Hilton Edinburgh Airport Hotel (tel: (0)131 519 4400) has conference facilities for up to 220 delegates.
